Since its inception in 2001, Kirby Fire Safety has delivered professional fire safety courses to health care facilities, private industries, schools, colleges, hotels and a range of other businesses.

With over 60 years experience as operational firefighters between both directors, we utilise our expertise to provide the best possible service for all of our customers. We are confident that we provide the highest standard of fire safety training requirements.

At Kirby Fire Safety, our aim is to equip you with the skills and knowledge to practice fire safety both at home and at work. Our courses will help you understand the dangers associated with fire, and give you the confidence and ability to follow proper procedures to evacuate and assist others in the event of fire.

With offices in Dublin, Sligo, Limerick and Galway we travel nationwide providing courses in Fire Awareness, Fire Warden/Marshal, Evacuation and Fire Extinguishers.

Pat has a lifetime of experience in the Fire Safety business, having served for 32 years as a member of the Airport Police & Fire Service at Shannon International Airport, his final 10 years as Chief Fire & Police Officer. In 2002, he established Kirby Fire Safety and moved into the present premises at Smithstown, Shannon, Co Clare. Pat was awarded a Senior Fire Officer Certificate by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, as well as a Breathing Apparatus Instructors Certificate with Lancashire County Fire Service. In November 2002, he was conferred with a Diploma in Training & Education from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Enda Kirby

Enda Kirby – Head Instructor & Fire Safety Experts Ireland

Head Instructor

Enda has 26 years experience as a firefighter and has been delivering fire safety courses for 25 years. Having started his career in Ennis with Clare County Fire Service in 1993, Enda then moved to Galway City Fire Service to take up a position as a full-time fighter in 2001. While in the fire service Enda completed courses in Breathing Apparatus, Compartment Fire Behaviour, Wildland Firefighting, Swift Water Rescue, Heights Rescue, Road Traffic Collision Extrication, Aviation Firefighting, Manual Handling and is a first Responder. Enda holds a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety with NISO and has also completed a QQI Level 6 Component Award in Train the Trainer course.
